President’s Message
This is the time of year when many of the ethnic and police organizations will hold their annual fundraising events and banquets. You will see postings and receive emails inviting you to buy chances, attend banquets or make a donation, in fact even in our newsletter you will see mention of these events as we receive them. It’s extremely important that we support good causes; and I am sure I will see many of you at these events.

Please take note that Custodes Pacis is also holding our own fundraisers at this time of year. Please consider buying a $5 chance for our April Lottery; or how about a night out with your friends at our biannual Bowling Beef and Beer event which is being held on April 19, 2008. You will find information about these fundraisers in this newsletter. Thank you.

Tickets for the April 2008 fundraiser are now available. The proceeds from this event go directly to our scholarship fund so your support is essential! District #3 OSIA Most Deserving Member Banquet - Congratulations to lodge Chaplain John Fitch who is Custodes Pacis’ Most Deserving Member for 2008. The Most Deserving Member of each Lodge in District #3 will be honored at Swan Caterer’s Waterfall Room on Thursday, April 24, 2008. The cost for this event has yet to be announce and will be sent to members as soon as it is available.

Membership Dues – Dues reminders have been mailed. If you have not done so please check your mail and send in your dues. Paying now will reduce the need for the lodge to send out frequent and costly reminder. If you are a retired or active City of Philadelphia Employee, please consider using payroll deduction.
