Sister Lisa Salvato requests prayers for her father retired Police Sgt. Stan Smith:

“I am requesting prayers for my father, retired Sgt Stan Smith formerly of
Traffic Division.  On April 24th, he was involved in a motorcycle accident
(and wearing a helmet) and spent five weeks in a coma.  He is recovering
slowly; however, only time will tell the extent of the brain injury.  Aside
from the head injury, he suffered 2 broken collarbones, 2 broken arms, and a
broken wrist.  He has been able to move a bit but unable to speak partially
because is on a respirator.  I believe in the power of prayer because
everyday he gets a little bit closer to recovery, even after doctors gave
him no hope at all.  He retired from the police department in 2003 after 33
years of service.  At the time of the accident, he was working as the school
police officer at Fox Chase Elementary.  Please keep him in your prayers.”

If any member becomes aware of another member’s promotion, retirement, good fortune, misfortune, illness, or death, please let us know.
